This is a report from the National LGBT Health Education Center that highlights that there is a higher prevalence of opioid misuse among the LGBTQ population compared with the general population. Reasons for this difference and best practices for this population are discussed, including trauma-informed care and medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD).
