Sandusky Artisans Recovery Community Center

This community center in Ohio offers a wide range of recovery support services with a special focus on the arts

Operating in a large, gallery-like space since 1996, the Sandusky Artisans Recovery Community Center offers a wide range of services to those in recovery from substance use and mental health disorders. Activities, all conducted by peers in recovery, include:

  • art, photography, and mask-making classes
  • support meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous
  • peer-to-peer counseling
  • meditation and yoga classes
  • walking groups
  • training in naloxone administration 

The Center's extensive website provides links to external services, recovery story videos, wellness tips, a calendar of events, job postings, and a frequently updated blog. The Sandusky Artisans Center has been recognized nationally as an innovative program model.
