Unity Recovery

A recovery community organization in Philadelphia that provides recovery support services at no cost and supports multiple pathways of recovery

Unity Recovery is open seven days a week to provide recovery support services to the Philadelphia community at no cost. This community-based organization supports both recovery from substance use disorders and mental health conditions by providing recovery coaching from peer recovery support specialists, many different types of mutual help groups, education, and vocational training. Unity Recovery supports all pathways of recovery including moderation and harm reduction.

In addition to providing a meeting space and facilitating many different types of traditional mutual support, such as SMART Recovery, Recovery Dharma, Alcoholics Anonymous, and Narcotics Anonymous meetings, there are innovative services such as a Medication-Assisted Recovery Anonymous meeting, yoga and meditation classes, recovery support services that address social determinants of health, and access to digital technology recovery support. Opened in 2019, this program has been successful in securing several grants to expand services. More information can be found in their 2019 Annual Report
